My work is inspired by the phrases we really want to display in our home, be they inspirational or a little more honest. I also curate vintage and donate tee shirts adorned with phrases which I’ve dubbed “Intrusive Thought Tees” after my adult diagnosis of OCD. Handmade banners, enamel pins, stationary and other giftware are thoughtfully designed in Rochester, NY. As many materials as possible are secondhand or dead stock, giving new life to objects that would otherwise be discarded.

We recently formed a team of vendors to open a local farm to table grocery store in the nearby Upper Monroe Neighborhood called Homegrown and Handmade Market and are trying to help bring more consistent access to locally grown and produced food and other items

    JackBear Stamp & Press makes hand carved rubber stamps! John “Jack” Ballou started participating in a hobby called letterboxing (www.atlasquest.com). He needed a rubber stamp. He wanted one of a bear paw. He combed all the craft stores in the area but to no avail. Jack decided to carve one himself and he fell in love with carving rubber stamps! He carves each stamp by hand and makes printed items from his stamps, like wooden magnets and buttons, cards, and collectable prints. Jack draws inspiration from pop culture, comic books, science fiction and fantasy, and local history.
